St Leonard's Vaccination Site Information        COVID-19 Vaccination Information Leaflet

How to access your COVID-19 vaccination status

You can access your COVID-19 vaccination status through the free NHS App.  You can access the app through mobile devices such as a smartphone or by tablet.  Proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status will be shown within the NHS App.  We recommend that you register with the app before booking international travel.

If you do not have access to a smartphone and know that the country you are travelling to requires COVID-19 vaccination status, you can call the NHS Helpline on 119 and ask for a letter to be posted to you.  This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine.  We expect the letter to take up to 5 days to reach you.

Do not contact your GP surgery about your COVID-19 vaccination status. GPs cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.

1st Doses

We have now invited all patients aged 18 and over.  If you have not yet had your first dose, please call 119 to book this.

2nd Doses

If you are waiting to hear about your second dose this will be roughly 11 weeks after your first.  We get little notice of delivery dates from the Government but we will try and give you as much notice of your second dose appointment as is possible.

Please try and make every effort to attend at the offered appointment; every vaccine is allocated and we do not have spare vaccine available to book you in at a different time or day.  If you have genuine, immovable reasons (such surgery or a hospital appointment) why you cannot attend at the offered appointment please contact your OWN GP practice as they MAY be able to re-arrange.

We will not be able to offer an alternative appointment due to a clash with social commitments.  Your second dose of COVID vaccine is vital to you and the country to get things back to normality.

If you do not attend your offered appointment we cannot guarantee when you will be offered a further appointment.  This may leave you, your household, and contacts less protected against COVID-19.
