Dr David Craigmyle (m) Senior Partner MB,BCh. MRCGP qualified at the Welsh National School of Medicine in 1979. He is married with 2 boys. He has been a General Practitioner in Wimborne since 1986. He holds a postgraduate qualification in General Practice. David has been an appraiser of other GPs in the area. His outside interests include sailing, walking, cycling and boating. |
Dr Mark Linley-Adams (m) Partner MBBS MRCP DRCOG qualified at the Middlesex Hospital Medical School, London in 1984. Mark is married with 4 children. He has been a General Practitioner in Wimborne since 1989. He has two postgraduate qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, having a higher qualification in General Medicine. He decided on a career in General Practice because of the varied challenges and opportunities it offered (and a family life). His wife is a GP in Lychett Matravers.
He is a vociferous advocate of competition and choice within health care provision and supports the idea that the NHS and the private sector can work together to improve healthcare for all. He is in favour of preventative medication and investigations. He has an interest in the preventative health needs of men in the 45-60 year age group, being aware these are a group that are infrequent and unenthusiastic users of health services. His outside interests including fishing, cricket, rugby union, football, politics and keeping fit. |
Dr Anne Elder (f) Partner MB ChB DCH qualified in Bristol in 1988. She is married and has two children and has been a General Practitioner in Wimborne since 1995. Anne specialised in Paediatrics before settling into General Practice and has the Diploma in Child Health. Her interests now include women’s health and child care, and she is a strong advocate of family medicine.
Anne works for the Primary Care Trust and is the GP in charge of the Teenage Life Centre at Queen Elizabeth School. This unique project offers support and advice to young people and she enjoys this work enormously. Anne has previously worked as a GP specialist at Poole Hospital Breast Clinic and is currently an appointed Child Protection Lead GP working closely with other practices and the Primary Care Trust. |
Dr Kate Evans (f) BM MRCGP DRCOG DFFP qualified in Southampton in 1995. Kate is employed by the partners as a full member of the General Practitioner medical team and we are delighted to have her with us. She is married with two children and before deciding on a career in General Practice, Kate gained experience in a wide range of clinical specialties both in this country and abroad and has a particular interest in women’s and child health. In her free time, Kate enjoys walking, foreign travel and trying to improve her tennis skills! |
